Catrina cotton gauze is perfect for rich embroidery, either hand-made or machine-made. A fabric that took us more than two years to create from the cumulus of suggestions and desires received from our customers, "Catrina" is the answer to a complex search: a traditional Romanian fabric with an authentic look. A comfortable fabric that you love to wear close to your skin. Strong enough to form the ideal background for deep symbolism and rich embroidery with needle on fabric. Ideal for embroidery – either with threads, beads, sequins, complex stitches, or other creations that need a strong and resilient base.

A perfectly balanced fabric for hand sewing, with approx. 19 yarns in warp and weft, "Catrina" features the same soft-crepe look, so appreciated in Calusar gauze, but with a more robust cotton yarn, which gives it more volume and visibility. Ideal for full stitches and rich accessorizing.

The fabric may be smoothed by steaming and ironing; wavy appearance may be fully removed depending on the intensity and temperature ironing. Wavy appearance is restored after each wash, as imprinted in the fabric’s memory through our Air Soft Technology.

MAINTENANCE:
Manual/automatic wash; separate colors; dyed fabrics should not be washed using bleach based detergents;
max. washing temperature: 20°C - 60°C white / natural, 30°C colored
