Domnica raw cotton

Domnica a name inspired by Sundays (in Latin - "dies Dominica") and traditional celebrations, recalling the timeless Romanian blouse (Romanian “ia”), a delicate, airy blouse, richly adorned with embroidery and stitched symbols carrying deep meanings, traditionally worn only on Sundays or special holidays. Domnica combines this traditional inspiration with the elegance of contemporary pieces.

Made from SUPIMA cotton, the finest fibers in the world - representing only 2% of global cotton production - with an exceptionally long staple length, this fabric is remarkably light and fine, resembling a silk voile, while also offering exceptional strength. Delicate and almost imperceptible when worn, it is nevertheless durable enough to support the different types of stitching and hand embroidery traditionally used in Romanian ii, and beyond. An ideal fabric for both hand and machine sewing.

Suitable for ii, summer blouses, beach dresses, scarves and other lightweight garments. It can also be used for leight draperies and other textile decorative pieces.

Being a raw fabric, it is necessary to consider a washing contraction between 5-10% - under delicate washing conditions up to 30°C maximum and max 600 rpm spinning.
